Irish Dance Classes

Rince na h'Eireann Darwin Irish Dance Association holds Irish Dance classes for anyone over five years of age.

Classes are divided both by age and ability level, and are held between 9:00am—2:00pm. Dancers first learn to dance in "soft-shoe", then progress to "hard-shoe" as they become more competent. They learn a range of Irish dances, including traditional solo and group dances, as well as contemporary dances. When they are confident to do so, dancers are invited to dance in the Association's performances.

Classes - Saturdays

Beginners Class/Primary Class - 9am to 10.30am

Intermediate Class/Advanced Class - 11am to 12.30pm

Adult Class - 12.30pm to 1.30pm

  • Term 1: 28 January 2012 - 31 March 2012
  • Term 2: 14 April 2012 - 16 June 2012
  • Term 3: 21 July 2012 - 22 September 2012
  • Term 4: 6 October 2012 - 8 December 2012

Fees

$100 per term per dancer

$10 per dancer per class only for new dancers (must be paid on the day of the class)

Insurance Registration fees for 2011 are $12 per single dancer and $18 for a family
